Arkansas Drone Pilots Train For Search & Rescue

More than 320 members make up Arkansas’ largest UAV Drone Community, Drones Over Arkansas. The group has regular meetings to discuss current and the ever changing FAA laws concerning their hobby, Photography techniques, Business opportunity and now, many are taking a sUAV Drone Search and Rescue Course.

Several Arkansas Law Enforcement and Fire agencies have already put Drones in their arsonal. The Club consists of 100’s of experienced pilots, each with 1000’s of flight hours. Most are certified FAA Part 107 pilots who work in several aspects of the Drone business. Some members are already experienced in Police, Fire and EMS.

Prerequisite course to the “sUAV Drone Search and Rescue Course” include FEMA’s “Introduction to Incident Command System, ICS-100”.

These members can be available as a secondary option to SAR efforts around Arkansas, at request from Law Enforcement, Fire Departments and Search & Rescue teams.
