Watch DJI Unveil New Folding Drone LIVE
DJI will announce a new product tomorrow. Based on the short teaser published last week, we know that this product will be a foldable drone. Everything beyond that is unknown.
Many clues have been revealed suggesting the new Drone will be called the Mavic Air. Others state the name may be Mavic Pro II, however, If you go to the URL “www.dji.com/mavic-air,” the website currently sends you back to the DJI announcement page. Coincidence?
What changes can we expect from this new “Mavic Air”? There are no details yet but based on rumors, one could guess that the new drone from DJI will offer the following:
- Lighter
- Faster
- Smaller
- More aerodynamic design
- Longer flight time
- Foldable arms
- 3-axis gimbal
- Dual cameras with zoom feature (not confirmed)
- 4K video
- Better photo/video quality through perhaps a larger sensor, better bitrate, better codec, built-in ND filter, adjustable frame rate, larger aperture.
- To be priced between the current Mavic Pro and the Spark. We expect $600 to $900 price range.
DJI has reported to a media event scheduled for January 23rd at 10 am EST.
